Liger - Rocky. LIGER: Father was a lion, Mother was a tiger. Not an occurence in nature, due to the fact tat Tigers are from Asia, Lions are from Africa. Ligers are man-made. Due to the cross-breeding, the male liger can reach up to 1500 pounds. More than either the largest tiger or lion. Rescued from a small zoo in North Carolina which closed down.
